New National Minimum Wage Rates

The following new minimum wage rates will take effect on 1 October 2016:
£6.95 an hour for workers aged 21 and over (previously £6.70 from 1 October 2015)
£5.55 per hour for those aged 18 to 20 (Youth Development Rate) (previously £5.30 from 1 October 2015)
£4.00 per hour for those aged 16 to 17 (previously £3.87 from 1 October 2015)
£3.40 an hour for apprentices (previously £3.30 from 1 October 2015)
